Tashima McMurray, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Tashima McMurray is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. She welcomes individuals, couples, families and adolescents. She hopes to provide her clients with a safe environment where they can gain new insights and implement positive changes to attain their therapeutic goals.

Tashima has experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She previously facilitated anger management and parenting classes. She also has experience with helping couples overcome marital problems and treating individuals with a variety of mental health issues including (but not limited to): depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and ADHD.

Tashima believes in the irreplaceable value of healthy and supportive relationships for optimal individual, couple, and family functioning. She emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and the willingness to change. She is passionate about working with individuals who possess an unrelenting desire to make positive changes and make the courageous choice to step into therapy and begin the healing process.
